Safety Plans provide background information required to establish safe working practices for hazardous material/processes use and handling.

A safety plan is required for all areas that use hazardous materials, hazardous processes and storage of these items.

Requirements
  • All relevant content must be filled out completely and reviewed
    every year. View the User Guide for help on specific topics.

  • A printed version of the current safety plan must be available in
    the facility near the main entrance/ exit.
  • Request a door sign and post one at each entrance to the space.

    – A resource for personnel to identify potential hazards.
  • Training and Education
    – An Instructional tool for individuals working in an area to apprise
    them of potential hazards.
