Safety Orientation Checklist

What is the NC State Safety Orientation Checklist?

The NC State Safety Orientation Checklist provides an overview of health, safety and security topics for NC State employees and volunteers. As an introduction to our services and procedures, this checklist must be completed and reviewed with all new employees and volunteers with their manager prior to beginning activities on campus.

The new employee will register for the NC State Safety Orientation Checklist Course via REPORTER

After registering, course materials will be available in Wolfware (Moodle) Project Space. Help documents are available below for the manager to reference while assisting the employee.

How do I register for the Checklist Course?

REPORTER is NC State’s solution for tracking, managing, reporting and measuring external outreach, internal training and non-credit activities. You can register for a course on REPORTER by following these steps:

  • First, select your course from the Safety Training Page (or directly access the  NC State Safety Orientation Checklist).
  • Next, click on the title to be directed to REPORTER for registration using your UNITY ID and Password.  Those without a UNITY ID can set up an account and register for unrestricted courses.
    • If your course is in-person, you will have the option of registering for upcoming instances by date or adding your name to a watchlist to be notified of upcoming sessions.
    • If your course is online, you will receive a registration confirmation email, as well as instructions from WolfWare (Moodle) for course completion.
